What is Counselling?

 

Counselling is the provision of a special relationship with a trained person who will help you to explore difficulties and problems in your life. Many people find that talking things through with someone who has been trained to listen and to support them leaves them less confused and better able to make the changes which they need to improve the quality of lives.

 

Who comes for counseling?

 

All of us go through periods when life seems to lose its meaning. Memories of the past, painful events in the present and worries about the future can make it difficult to cope with everyday life. Sometimes people are lonely, anxious or depressed, worried about their relationships, their marriage or family life, and sometimes life at work. Or, they may be suffering from bereavement, divorce or separation. Some may want to learn to relate more easily to others or may be looking for more meaning in life.

 

What qualifications do I have?

New South Wales Registered Psychologist.

 

Graduate Diploma of Psychology

Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Family Therapy)

Diploma in Individual, Couple and Family Counselling.

 

I am an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society. I am bound by their Code of Ethics.
